Archaeological Museum of Chania

The triangular Chania Museum rises from a hillside, extending towards the sea with a design focused on openness and fluid movement.

Inspired by its surroundings, the museum’s brick facade is accented with cobblestone and concrete tiles at the entrance. The single-storey structure encloses an atrium, filling the interiors with natural light. Inside, the white walls and parquet floors create a fresh, inviting atmosphere.

Exhibition spaces are arranged simply, allowing visitors to explore freely. Controlled lighting and a perforated steel roof regulate sunlight. A café with sea views offers a place to relax.
